Pilot Lounge Flight SIM for Kids is a hands-on aviation and STEM learning center designed specifically for young explorers ages 7-18.
Inside our lounge, students step into flight simulator stations and immersive cockpit environments where they learn the fundamentals of aviation in a safe, exciting, and instructor-led setting. Each session builds real skills - from understanding instruments and navigation to mastering takeoffs and landings.
At Pilot Lounge, screen time becomes skill time.

Where Kids Learn to Soar
Pilot Lounge is a hands-on aviation and STEM learning center designed for students ages 7–18+. Through flight simulation, guided instruction, and interactive activities, students explore the science, technology, communication, and decision-making skills behind aviation.
Our programs give homeschool students the opportunity to learn outside the traditional classroom while applying STEM concepts in an exciting, real-world environment.

WHAT STUDENTS LEARN
Our aviation and STEM programs introduce students to a wide range of concepts, including:

Explore how airplanes fly and learn about lift, drag, thrust, weight, control surfaces, and other fundamental principles of flight.
🌦️ Weather & Meteorology
Learn how weather affects aviation and how pilots use weather information when making flight decisions.
🎧 Air Traffic Control
Discover how pilots and air traffic controllers communicate and work together to safely manage airspace.
🔧 Aircraft Systems & Mechanics
Explore the basic systems that allow an aircraft to operate, including engines, instruments, controls, and other aircraft components.
🧭 Navigation
Learn how pilots determine where they are, where they are going, and how to plan a route.
📐 STEM & Applied Mathematics
Math, science, technology, and problem-solving skills into practice through aviation-related activities.

Students learn aviation terminology, radio communication concepts, and how pilots communicate clearly and effectively.

Our Aviation Curriculum
Our aviation curriculum is based on FAA protocols and aviation standards, introducing students to aviation language, concepts, procedures, and fundamental principles of flight. Students apply what they learn through hands-on activities and flight simulation experiences.
Students progress through age-appropriate aviation topics while applying what they learn through hands-on activities and flight simulation.
From understanding how an airplane flies to learning how pilots communicate, navigate, interpret weather, and manage a flight, students begin building a foundation in aviation knowledge while developing valuable STEM and critical-thinking skills.

At Pilot Lounge, students don't just learn about aviation; they get to apply what they're learning.
Our flight simulators allow students to experience aviation concepts in an interactive environment while receiving guidance from Pilot Lounge instructors.
Students can practice concepts such as:
Aircraft controls and basic flight
Pilot communication
Navigation
Instrument awareness
Weather considerations
Flight procedures
Decision-making
Following checklists and instructions
The simulator provides a hands-on way for students to connect classroom concepts with practical application.
PROGRAMS FOR DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE LEVELS
Pilot Lounge welcomes students with a wide range of aviation experience.
BEGINNER
No previous aviation experience is required. Students are introduced to the fundamentals of aviation and learn the basics of operating an aircraft.
INTERMEDIATE
Students who have already developed an interest in aviation can continue building their knowledge, simulator skills, and understanding of flight operations.
ADVANCED
Students with significant aviation knowledge or simulator experience can work on more advanced concepts and challenges.
For students who are especially serious about aviation, Pilot Lounge also offers opportunities for continued skill development through advanced programming and the Pilot Lounge Flight Club.
HOMESCHOOL PROGRAMS
Pilot Lounge offers flexible opportunities for homeschool families and educational groups, including:
Weekly aviation and STEM enrichment classes
Hands-on flight simulation experiences

Homeschool group experiences

Advanced aviation opportunities for experienced students
Programs may be available as individual enrollment opportunities or customized experiences for homeschool groups and co-ops.

A SECULAR, NON-RELIGIOUS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
Pilot Lounge is a secular, non-religious educational program focused exclusively on aviation, STEM education, flight simulation, and hands-on learning.
Pilot Lounge is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or operated by any religious organization, and our programs do not include religious instruction or religious-based programming.
A SAFE, CONTROLLED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
Pilot Lounge provides an indoor, controlled environment where students can explore aviation through flight simulation and instructor-guided activities.
Students are expected to follow safety instructions and guidelines provided by Pilot Lounge staff throughout their participation.
Parents and guardians complete the required registration and waiver process before participation. Our full Terms of Service and participation requirements are available on our website.
HOMESCHOOL GROUPS & FIELD TRIPS
Bring your homeschool group or co-op to Pilot Lounge for an immersive aviation and STEM experience.
We can accommodate customized group experiences designed around your students' ages, experience levels, and interests.
